Announced at PAX East 2025 earlier today, Square Enix’s beloved RPG NieR: Automata is crossing over with The First Descendant as part of its groundbreaking Season 3 update “Breakthrough.”
The update to The First Descendant brings with it a massive battlefield for players to explore, a sleek new Hover Bike, the Colossus Field Raid, the introduction of the ‘Lounge,’ and a new Descendant.

In the case of the NieR: Automata collaboration, a full trailer will be released later; the team also announced that additional IP collaborations are also in the works.
