A deeply atmospheric second-person horror game, players will be able to set out to escape the mansion with the upcoming release of The Gang and Starbreeze Entertainment’s Out of Sight later this month.
Gamers Heroes recently got a chance to check out a hands-on session of Out of Sight ahead of its full release – “see” what horrors await with our preview.
Out of Sight Preview – We See You
Out of Sight keeps an eye out, combining first and second-person perspective. As a result, Out of Sight provides a truly unique horror experience we’ve never seen before in the space.
To shed some light on things (so to speak), players control the blind and scared girl Sophie who has been given the gift of sight through the eyes of her teddy bear Teddy. Players can pick Teddy up and have him front and center, but one can also place Teddy at strategically placed blankets that will give perspective into where Sophie needs to go next.
From there, players will need all the help they can get as they navigate a mysterious mansion rife with puzzles and danger the duo must avoid at all costs.

Putting this principle into practice, Out of Sight had us seeing things in a new light – again, so to speak.
Those a-ha moments that make the horror genre so great are alive and well in Out of Sight, having us figure out how to navigate the most precarious of situations. While Sophie can crouch and climb like the best of them, she also needs her hands – meaning that Teddy will need to be placed down in certain moments as she navigates areas.
We’re absolutely being mindful of spoilers of here, but we will say that sound design also plays a big part of Out of Sight – and we’re here for it. During our preview time, we utilized our cans to make sure we were hidden at all times.
When paired with its sheer immersion, we found ourselves enamored during our time with the title.
Out of Sight’s new look on life has got us captivated from the very first glance. Promising immersion and horror in equal measure, we can’t wait for its full release later this month.
The full release of Out of Sight will make its way to the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via both Steam and the Epic Games Store May 22 – a demo is also available!
One can also learn more via the official Out of Sight website.
