Froggy Hates Snow | Release Date Reveal

Developer Serhii ‘Serge’ Riabtsev said the following:

“It’s been amazing to watch players and creators connect with Froggy Hates Snow.

I always wanted it to feel a little unusual. It has danger and pressure, but it also has this cozy, playful side where you can just enjoy digging through the snow and seeing what you find. Getting to finally share the release date feels really special.”

Steve Escalante, CEO of Digital Bandidos, also said the following:

“From the moment we played it, we knew Froggy Hates Snow had a personality all its own.

It’s odd but charming, instantly watchable, and full of the kind of emergent moments that players and creators love.

What makes it especially exciting is that it can feel tense and replayable one minute, then surprisingly cozy and relaxing the next.”

Froggy Hates Snow will release for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.

In the case of both Xbox and Steam, a Froggy Hates Snow demo is available that allows players to carry progress to the full game.

People Can Fly Acquires Cooldown Games Brand

Strengthening the Group’s publishing activity in its self-publishing model, People Can Fly has announced their acquisition of the Cooldown Games brand.

As part of this acquisition, they will establish a dedicated publishing vertical within People Can Fly’s operating structure.

Previously collaborating on the million-unit selling Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition, this transaction will position People Can Fly to generate recurring revenue via third-party publishing agreements and recognize increased profit margins on internally developed titles.

This agreement will also help People Can Fly improve capital allocation discipline through integrated greenlight oversight, all while enhancing strategic flexibility for future M&A or IP monetization initiatives.

Sebastian Wojciechowski, CEO of People Can Fly Group, said the following:

“Although we are strongly focused on the work-for-hire segment to achieve positive cash flows across the Group, we have never intended to abandon our publishing plans.

Rather, we have been waiting for the right moment for them to regain traction and scale.

While this is happening somewhat earlier than we originally anticipated, it is based on two key pillars: the trust in the Cooldown Games team built over the years, and an approach in which the publishing segment is intended to be revenue-generating from the outset, rather than cost-intensive.”

Steve Gibson, CEO of Cooldown Games, also said the following:

“We’ve built Cooldown Games around championing exceptional developers and bringing their games to players around the world.

Joining People Can Fly gives us the scale, resources, and long-term stability to do that at an even higher level.

We know firsthand the great work that this team is capable of, and we’re excited to build the next generation of great games together.”

People Can Fly Group’s CEO Sebastian Wojciechowski concluded:

“Rebuilding our publishing capabilities is an important step in People Can Fly’s continued evolution.

Bringing the Cooldown Games team into the organization allows us to build on the publishing foundation we’ve been developing for years while strengthening our ability to take great games to market globally.

This structure strengthens our control over commercial outcomes and positions us to capture greater value across the lifecycle of our titles, addressing challenges we have faced in the past.”
