Saturday Morning-Style HANK: Drowning on Dry Land Gameplay Trailer Released

Get a closer look at vigilante Hank’s wild time-traveling (and drunk!) adventures with the latest gameplay trailer for My Next Games’ HANK: Drowning on Dry Land.

A narrative-driven “Saturday Morning” style adventure, HANK: Drowning On Dry Land was built around a number of unique time manipulation mechanics. As players set out to escape The Unraveler’s trap, they’ll be able to experience a time-bending co-op adventure with one’s past self.

For those Seattle-bound for PAX West this Labor Day weekend (August 29 to September 1), HANK: Drowning On Dry Land has earned the prestigious honor of being selected for PAX Rising at PAX West 2025. 

Attendees of the event can play an exclusive demo at Booth #825, located in the PAX Rising Section. While there, they can meet Kuba, the game’s lead designer/programmer!

Honkai: Nexus Anima Announced by HoYoverse, Pre-Registration Now Open

The newest title in the beloved Honkai franchise, HoYoverse has announced Honkai: Nexus Anima, with recruitment now open for its first closed beta.

A new creature-collector adventure strategy title, Honkai: Nexus Anima is new entry in the Honkai series that has players taking on the role of a plane-hopping traveler who escaped captivity.

In its world, players will forge bonds through both missions and combat with Anima, unlocking abilities that reflect unique concepts.

Summoners War X TEKKEN 8 Collaboration Live Through September 30

The world of Com2uS’ Summoners War: Sky Arena is collaborating TEKKEN 8 through September 30, giving players the chance to obtain a Transmogrification for Nina Williams alongside exclusive mask items.

As part of this collaboration event, players can get the chance to  summon Default 5★ Monsters by logging in to the game. Players will be able to complete various in-game missions throughout this period.

Those that collect Tekken Coins, defeat Master X, clea Arcade Battle, and complete collab missions can net themselves five special collab emojis, a Tekken Scroll, and the Nina Williams Transmogrification. 

On that note, players that apply this Transmogrification will be able to equip Nina in her iconic white wedding dress from the TEKKEN series.

Summoners War: Sky Arena is now available as a free download via the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, and the PC via Steam.

GO Pass Coming to Pokémon GO September 2

A free, limited-time progression track, the GO Pass will be able to Pokémon GO players starting September 2.

All Trainers will get the GO Pass on September 2 at 10am (local time). From there, they’ll be able to collect GO Points to increase their Rank and earn rewards.

Note that the GO Pass Deluxe and GO Pass Deluxe + 10 Ranks items are also available for purchase:

  • For US$7.99, Trainers can upgrade to the GO Pass Deluxe, a paid version of the GO Pass that offers upgraded rewards and faster progression.
  • For US$9.99, Trainers can upgrade to the GO Pass Deluxe + 10 Ranks to also automatically earn enough GO Points to reach Rank 11.

Note that the system will be available through October 7 at 10am (local time). Meanwhile, rewards unlocked in the GO Pass will expire on October 9 at 10am (local time) – make sure to claim rewards before they’re gone!

X Kira and N Roles Now Available in DEATH NOTE: Killer Within

Today’s update to Bandai Namco’s DEATH NOTE: Killer Within brings both X Kira and N roles to the title.

DEATH NOTE: Killer Within’s new “X-Kira” role can be used to previous Kira. While X-Kira can perform similar actions as Kira, he is always alone to start the game without any followers. However, X-Kira can secretly make one Investigator into a Kira Follower during meeting phases.

Meanwhile, DEATH NOTE: Killer Within’s new “N” role can be utilized in place of L. N utilizes unique Command Cards that differ from L; while N cannot use Investigator Evidence or a Speaker, they can instead use the “SPK Tracker” and “Money Chaos” Command Cards.
