Cozy Survival Life Sim Dinkum Now Available on Nintendo Switch 2

Previously released for the original Nintendo Switch, the cozy world of Australian solo developer James Bendon and KRAFTON’s survival life sim Dinkum is now available for the Nintendo Switch 2.

Inviting players to build a town, farm, fish, mine, and explore, Dinkum features a world that has been inspired by the Australian outback that can be explored solo or with friends.

Dinkum Creator James Bendon said the following:

“I grew up playing Nintendo games, so bringing a game I created to a Nintendo platform is incredibly meaningful to me.

The creativity of the Dinkum community continues to inspire me, and I’m excited to keep growing this world with players.”

A free Nintendo Switch 2 upgrade is also available to those that already own Dinkum for the Nintendo Switch!

Dinkum is also available for the PC via Steam, which currently features a major content update known as “The Great Bite.”

Done in celebration of its first anniversary, players will be able to take advantage of climbable cliffs, new plant life, and varied terrain through May 7.

Kevin Afghani Fire & Ice RGX 2026 Guest of Honor

“Here we go!” The current voice of Mario, Luigi, Baby Mario, Baby Luigi, Wario, and Waluigi in the Super Mario franchise, Kevin Afghani will be a Guest of Honor at Fire & Ice RGX 2026 this summer.

Beginning with Super Mario Bros. Wonder in 2023 (which we loved – a perfect 100/100 review from us!), Kevin Afghani can also be heard in WarioWare: Move It, Super Mario Party Jamboree, Mario & Luigi: Brothership, Mario Kart World, and Mario Tennis Fever. 

He can also be heard as Arnold in Genshin Impact, Amir in Warframe: 1999, Forsburn in Rivals of Aether II, and as additional voices in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth.

Fire & Ice RGX 2026 is set to be held at the Roebbelen Center @TheGrounds in Roseville, CA from June 20-21 – Google Maps link for convenience! 

Voice Actors, Musicians, Content Creators, and Industry Talent for Fire & Ice RGX 2026 will be revealed every Tuesday and Thursday leading up to the event.

A positively regal update, Singularity 6’s Palia is launching its major Royal Highlands Expansion – and respective Adventure Zone! – on May 12.

Palia Royal Highlands Preview – Saddle Up in This Expansion!

Players are cordially invited to Palia’s titular Royal Highlands as part of this massive expansion. Featuring golden fields filled with beautiful yellow hues and hints of red, this majestic region absolutely looks the part.

While there, players can set out to discover this sprawling region filled with treasures, foreign fauna, long-forgotten secrets, and even new villagers.

In the case of the latter, Palia’s Royal Highlights will introduce newcomer Eshelon to its grand narrative. Players can also continue the storylines of other characters they have come to know and love.

Palia’s Royal Highlands Expansion also has players contending with Amber Echo, which has proven to be endemic to the zone. Affecting both its flora and fauna, players can break it loose and gather it.

Of course, players will need to find a proper way to get around these Royal Highlands, and that’s where its new horses come into play. 

Allowing players to travel in style, completing one of Palia’s easily accessible new quests will allow players to walk, trot, canter, and even gallop with their new friend.

One can even bounce across Palia’s different mushrooms for some added whimsy! Just note that the only thing off-limits are other people’s houses – it is a “Royal” expansion after all…

One can also utilize Palia’s Ranching Skill (which was introduced last fall) in lockstep with these horses early on, completely free through gameplay progression.

Featuring a brave new world ripe for exploration, Palia’s Royal Highlands Expansion is set to provide a positively regal world – and the horses to traverse it! – when it launches May 12.

In the interim, players can now dive into Palia’s newly revealed 10 Million Player Celebration Event – we’re talking right now!

Running through May 11 (right before the Royal Highlands expansion launch on May 12), players can take advantage of a number of free mystery outfits and decor items.

Ascend the Shinra Tower – Final Fantasy VII Board Game Pre-Orders Live

Inspired by Final Fantasy VII, Square Enix has opened pre-orders for their newly revealed cooperative balance board game “Ascend the Shinra Tower.”

Set to release in January 2027, Ascend the Shinra Tower – Final Fantasy VII Board Game will have players working together as they ascend the unstable Shinra Tower.

Along the way, they’ll be able to stacl Floor Tiles and Wall Tiles of varying heights to build level by level, ever upward.

Final Fantasy VII protagonist Cloud Strife, along with familiar allies such as Tifa Lockhart and Aerith Gainsborough will appear as wooden pieces in this board game. Each character – and foe for that matter – features charming, storybook‑style artwork in a fresh reimagining.

Supporting anywhere from one to five players and suitable for ages 13 and up, the average playtime for Ascend the Shinra Tower – Final Fantasy VII Board Game clocks in at approximately fifteen to thirty minutes.
