Dragon Quest VII Reimagined New Screenshots Released

Set to release in just one week (February 5!), Square Enix has released a suite of new screenshots for their upcoming JRPG Dragon Quest VII Reimagined.

In true Dragon Quest fashion, Dragon Quest VII Reimagined lets players gather their companions as they set out to travel beyond the shores of one’s small kingdom.

Taking on the mantle of a bright-eyed young fisherman’s son, Dragon Quest VII Reimagined brings with it charming diorama visuals, a number of updated gameplay mechanics, and a streamlined story.

DRAGON QUEST VII Reimagined will release for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam and Windows on February 5.

Available for pre-order via its official website, the following Dragon Quest VII Reimagined versions are available:

  • Standard Edition [Physical Version] – $59.99
  • Standard Edition [Digital Version] – $59.99
  • Deluxe Edition [Digital only] – $74.99
  • Collector’s Edition [Physical only] – $249.99

In the case of Dragon Quest VII Reimagined’s Digital Deluxe Edition, players can gain access to Ruff’s “White Wolf” costume and the following three downloadable content packs: 

  • The Road of Regal Wretches – Challenge legendary demon kings from the Dragon Quest series’ Erdrick Trilogy in the Battle Arena. Defeating each one will earn players valuable rewards, including “Erdrick’s Sword”
  • Luminary’s Livery – Players can dress up as Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age with this costume set.
  • Jam-Packed Swag Bag – An assortment of items, players can venture forth with these helpful items: 
  • Slime Sword x1
  • Slime Boomerang x1 
  • Slime Stick x1 
  • Metal Slime Heart (Grants experience boost) x1

A free demo of Dragon Quest VII Reimagined is also available on all platforms. Those that dive in can continue their adventure in the full game using carryover save data. 

Meanwhile, Dragon Quest VII Reimagined players who possess demo save data, will be treated to the unique in-game “Day Off Dress” cosmetic for Maribel in the full release.

Poppy Playtime: Chapter 5 Playtime Co. Scientist Video Released

A new video for Mob Entertainment’s upcoming indie mascot horror thriller Poppy Playtime: Chapter 5 has surfaced, focusing on its Playtime Co. scientists. 

Dubbed “RESTRICTED_condemnation_1995,” this video shows Playtime Co. scientists trapped in this dangerous lab. 

Featuring approximately three minutes of content, see this new video below:

Dubbed “Broken Things,” Poppy Playtime: Chapter 5 is set to release for the PC via both Steam and the Epic Games Store on February 18, with wishlists now open.

For those on consoles, a full release is set to follow in the months ahead.

Starship Troopers: Extermination 1.9 Update Brings New Enemy Bug and More

Unlocking new content, performance and optimization improvements, and more, Offworld Industries and Knights Peak’s 16-player co-op FPS Starship Troopers: Extermination has released their new 1.9 Update.

New to Starship Troopers: Extermination is the Fire Bombardier enemy bug. Truly sadistic bugs, they live up to their name by burning victims through a zone of flaming devastation. Do be warned that this bug makes it harder for allies to rescue downed compatriots.

New Ambush Mutators have also made their way to Starship Troopers: Extermination as part of Update 1.9. With the Arachnids possibly developing new tactics, players should keep a keen eye for new scenario modifiers. On that note, players can encounter Royal Guard, Inferno, and Fire Bombardier Ambushes.

On that same note, Roaming Royal Guards may now attack during Horde and ARC/AAS Defense.
