Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora From the Ashes Expansion Now Available

Inspired by the recently released Avatar: Fire and Ash film, Massive Entertainment and Ubisoft have released the From the Ashes expansion for Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora.

From the Ashes tells the story of the battle‑hardened Na’vi warrior So’lek, whose path collides with the fearsome Ash Clan warband of Mangkwan raiders.

Serving as a decisive turn toward Na’vi-versus-Na’vi conflict, From the Ashes also includes new RDA units, which include hellhounds, Skel suits, and specialized AMP suit variants for RPG, sniper, and shotgun warfare.

Zenless Zone Zero Version 2.5 Launching December 30

Version 2.5 of HoYoverse’s popular urban fantasy ARPG Zenless Zone Zero – dubbed “To Be Fuel for the Night” – will launch December 30.

A major update for Zenless Zone Zero, Version 2.5 will propel Proxies into the culminating chapter of Season 2.

This update also introduces the upcoming Void Hunter Ye Shunguang, the popular Zhao, and will pay host to highly anticipated events that include expanded Hollow gameplay, multiplayer combat, and extensive optimizations. 

Version 2.5 of Zenless Zone Zero will also grant Proxies a free S-Rank Agent Zhao, 1,000 Polychromes, a new outfit for Jane, and additional rewards.

Massive Free Dune: Awakening Chapter 3 Content Update Revealed

A free content update for Funcom’s open world survival title Dune: Awakening, Chapter 3 is set to feature a completely rebuilt endgame.

Paying host to a massive amount of changes, improvements, and additions, Dune: Awakening Chapter 3 is set to be its biggest update yet.

Combat-wise, Dune: Awakening Chapter 3 will introduce the Dual Blades, the Pyrocket, and a full Rapier rework.

Joel Bylos, Creative Director on Dune: Awakening, said the following:

“We know players want a richer experience late in the game, and this update lays essential foundations for what’s coming next.

We’ve rebuilt the Landsraad system from the ground up, added new ways to earn rewards whether you play solo or in groups, expanded faction ranks, and introduced the new Specialization system. 

It also includes new locations in the overland with brand-new missions and unique repeatable Testing Stations with escalating difficulty for additional rewards. 

Our goal is to give players more options in the late game than ever.”

Also coming to Dune: Awakening is its Raiders of the Broken Lands DLC, which is set to add more than 70 new building pieces, decorations, and cosmetics that have been inspired by the Imperium’s Smugglers.

Dune: Awakening is available for the PC via its official Steam page, and is currently 35% off as part of the Steam Winter Sale.

Inaugural GDC Insights Focuses on Live Service Gaming

The team behind the GDC Festival of Gaming has released the debut GDC Highlights entry, sharing a variety of stats around live service gaming.

The inaugural GDC Insights segment focuses on live service gaming, touching upon its role in the larger gaming industry along with sentiment from developers creating experiences within it.

Highlights from the GDC Insights report can be found below:

  • Mobile gaming still dominates in terms of global revenue, but the market is stagnating at the top. Mobile titles earned $100.3B in 2024, making up more than half of all global game revenue, yet charts are increasingly topped by long-running franchises like Honor of Kings and MONOPOLY GO!
  • Developer sentiment is trending negative, especially among premium-game creators. Over half (53%) of premium-game developers say they do not want their next project to be live service, nearly double the rate of those working in F2P/subscription spaces (27%). 
  • Monetization strategies for mobile and core games are diverging sharply, with mobile’s top-grossing titles relying on gacha-style mechanics that are often rejected by PC/console audiences.

Fantasy MMORPG Raven2 Snowflake Festival Update Live

Netmarble’s dark fantasy MMORPG Raven2 is ringing in the holiday season with today’s new update, bringing the Snowflake Festival and more to the title.

A special event dungeon to celebrate the holiday seasons in Raven2, the Snowflake Festival will give players the chance to challenge the Gingerbread Man in the Snowflake Festival Hill dungeon.

Those that come out on top from now through January 6 can earn for themselves various rewards – scope out the highlights below:

  • The holiday-themed Heroic Holy Garment (Festival of the Silent Star or Herald of Winter)
  • A Rare Holy Garment “Temptation of the Holy Night” 
  • A Rare Familiar “Snopon.”

In addition, Raven2 players can take advantage of a special check-in event. Those that do can get the chance to receive a Heroic Holy Garment (1) Summon Scroll.

The massive GvG content “Ancient Fortress” has also been added to Raven2, allowing for up to 24 guilds within each world to compete across four distinct battlefields. 

All interested guilds can participate in the entry bidding process through the in-game item “Invitation from the Lost Kingdom,” while up to four guilds per server will win the bid and gain themselves entry into the Ancient Fortress. 

Raven2 can be found via the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store, along with its official Epic Games Store page.
