Hideo Kojima Delivering Keynote at GDC Festival of Gaming

GDC Festival of Gaming has announced that acclaimed creator and studio founder Hideo Kojima will headline the San Francisco event in March.

Titled “Restarting from Zero: A Message to Creators Considering Independence,” Hideo Kojima’s GDC Festival of Gaming keynote address will reflect on his bold leap to establish KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS ten years ago. 

Nina Brown, President of GDC, said the following:

“Hideo Kojima is one of the most influential creative voices of our time, his work has shaped how the world experiences games.

Having Kojima-san headline the GDC Festival of Gaming sets the perfect tone for what this new era is all about: fearless creativity, bold ideas, and elevating the entire game-making ecosystem. 

His journey embodies the spirit of reinvention that so many in the industry are navigating right now.”

Two Point Museum: Zooseum DLC Now Available

The “mane” attraction is here with today’s release of SEGA and Two Point Studios’ Two Point Museum’s Zooseum DLC.

Now available for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, Two Point Museum: Zooseum brings with it a new museum location, the Wildlife expert types, the Far Flung Isles expedition map, and more than 40 different Widlife Exhibits.

In addition, launching alongside Zooseum, Two Point Museum’s free Gingerbread Village Winter Seasonal update is now available for all players.

This update brings a seasonal makeover to Two Point Museum, complete  with seasonal decorations, festive exhibits, and snow-dusted surprises.

Note that Two Point Museum will come to the Nintendo Switch 2 in early 2026. On that note, Gingerbread Village will also launch for the Nintendo Switch 2 at a later date.

Finally, from December 15-18, the team at Two Point Studios is collaborating with the RSPCA for a fundraising initiative. 

Those that play Two Point Museum: Zooseum during this period can raise awareness for the charity and support its vital work protecting and caring for animals across the UK.

The Sims 4 Bikini Bottom Bundle Coming December 4

Starting December 4, the limited Bikini Bottom Bundle, featuring The Sims 4 SpongeBob’s House Kit and The Sims 4 SpongeBob Kids Room Kit, will make its way to the title.

With The Sims 4 SpongeBob’s House Kit, players will be able to create their own spin on the iconic series’ pineapple home. Players will also be able to design a SpongeBob-themed room and tap into nautical décor magic.

The Sims 4 SpongeBob Kid’s Room Kit will also give players the chance to swab the deck with SpongeBob-inspired furniture, replica toys, character posters, and whimsical accessories.

Note that this limited-time Bikini Bottom Bundle for The Sims 4 will only be available until March 3, 2026!

The Finals Season 9: Dragon Rising Revealed

Inspired by China’s ancient heritage with a cutting-edge twist, Season 9 of Embark Studios’ The Finals is set to provide an exciting map, a high-intensity new 8v8 mode, a new unified progression system, and other improvements directly shaped by player feedback.

Dubbed “Dragon Rising,” The Finals Season 9 highlights include the following:

New Map – Fangwei City

Inspired by a Chinese megacity, the new Fangwei City map features skyscrapers, rivers, temples, gardens and dense urban districts.

This area has been designed to support clearer navigation, strategic plays, and dramatic verticality throughout its landscape.

New Mode – Point Break

A new, large-scale, fast-paced 8v8 attack-vs-defend mode, Point Break has objectives fulfilled in waves. 

As one’s action ensues, the front line may shift forward as attackers destroy objectives, while defenders aim to hold the line. 

No matter what happens, expect explosions, momentum shifts, and constant action as players utilize a strategic – yet accessible! – new way to play.

Updated World Tour

The Finals’ newly restructured World Tour is set to unify all modes into one seasonal journey.

Players will be able to see all progress in one place, with the season also introducing a map that shows the full seasonal path, including events, sponsors and other upcoming moments.

Flexible Sponsor System

The Finals Contestants will gain access to a fully flexible sponsor system, one that will allow them to sign with any sponsor at any time.

Players can also now change their sponsor at will!

Note that free rewards will no longer be locked behind which sponsor one chooses; rather, players can earn and redeem all rewards from any sponsor. 

New loyalty tracks for Volpe and Ospuze are also set to debut in this season of The Finals!

Competitive + Ranked Updates

Dragon Rising is set to feature updated ranked progression, along with a unified reward structure.

With this system in place, both Ranked and World Tour will allow players to earn reward coins that they can use to choose their end-of-season rewards. 

The Finals will also now allow players to join a new high-stakes Double Jeopardy system for Cashout. This will introduce an event where the team that starts the double will risk, with one losing some of their cash if they don’t finish the job.

Quality of Life + Balance Updates

Finally, Contestants can also look forward to gameplay, combat, and technical improvements. Highlights include dome/mesh shield improvements, weapon tuning, and expanded customization options.

Miary Zo Now Available in TEKKEN 8

The Fighting God Reborn Miary Zo has made her way to Bandai Namco’s TEKKEN 8.

An original character – and the final Season 2 DLC fighter for TEKKEN 8 – Miary Zo utilizes a combat style that draws from the traditional Madagascan Morengy martial art.

Also included with Miary Zo is Baobab Horizon, a new TEKKEN 8 stage that has been inspired by Miary Zo’s homeland of Madagascar.
