GDC 2026 Festival of Gaming Details Unveiled As Registration Opens

Seeing a reimagined new format in 2026, the Game Developers Conference (GDC) Festival of Gaming is set to provide five days of nightly activities and offerings for everyone from all corners of the industry next March.

A reimagined GDC, the Festival of Gaming has been designed for the entire ecosystem to connect and learn. 

Happening from March 9-13, 2026 in and around San Francisco’s Moscone Center has been designed for networking, and will feature a unified content program across all five days.

When it comes to the Hall, attendees can check it out from Wednesday to Friday as they visit its five neighborhoods: Game Development, Future Tech, Indie & Education, International, Monetization & Player Engagement.

Mark DeLoura, GDC’s Executive Director of Innovation and Growth, said the following:

“In a time of great change, we can build walls or build bridges — and the game industry has always thrived by coming together.

The GDC Festival of Gaming strengthens those connections, celebrating creativity and supporting everyone who brings games to life, from napkin sketch to global launch.”

HoYoverse’s Cosmic Life Sim Petit Planet Closed Beta Test Beginning November 7

HoYoverse’s brand-new Cosmic Life sim Petit Planet will have a new Closed Beta Test starting November 7.

Guided by the truly amazing slogan “Weave Your Dreams Beneath the Stars,” Petit Planet will turn planets into creative canvases, ones where players can express themselves freely.

No matter what life one chooses, Petit Planet will let players embark on an idyllic – yet adventurous! – journey as they join distinctive neighbors and kindred spirits from different planets.

Available on both PC and iOS devices, aspiring Petit Planet players can sign up for the Closed Beta Test by completing the survey via its official website. Note that a limited number of players will be selected to receive beta access from those who successfully complete the survey.

A haunting dream awaits with today’s release of the Festival Accord: Dream Spell event for Capcom’s Monster Hunter Wilds.

Running now through November 10, Monster Hunter Wilds players will be able to take advantage of the following elements…

  • A newly decorated Grand Hub that features spooky-themed decorations. Monster Hunter Wilds players will also be able to make fur-raising memories alongside fellow hunters as they enjoy a special new seasonal meal.
  • Monster Hunter Wilds players can also set out to collect special tickets earned through login bonuses and daily bounties to net themselves limited-time seasonal awards.
  • Monster Hunter Wilds will also feature new pop-up camp decorations, gestures, and equipment for “spine-tingling” fun.
  • Finally, Erik and Alma will join the festivities with haunting new outfits, worn during the duration of the event.

Ringing in the holiday season, Tribute Games, Dotemu, and Gamirror Games’ MARVEL Cosmic Invasion will release for PC and consoles December 1.

A beat-em-up blockbuster from the same minds behind Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge, MARVEL Cosmic Invasion will have players taking on the deadly Annihilation Wave.

A number of playable Heroes will make their way to MARVEL Cosmic Invasion, including Captain America, She-HULK, Rocket Racoon, Wolverine, Spider-Man, Storm, Phyla-Vell, Venom, Nova, Black Panther, Beta Ray Bill, Cosmic Ghost Rider, and Silver Surfer.
