Steam Next Fest Demo Announcement
The game’s creator, Adam Lewis Graf, said the following:
“I’m really excited to announce that there’s a brand new demo for Gumball in Trick-or-Treat Land coming to Steam October 1st!
There’s like an hour of all-new, demo-exclusive content after the main objective is complete, and it was a really fun opportunity to flesh out the backstory of some of the side characters a little more and to design a new dungeon!
I think it really gives a sense of how the full version of the game feels once you get beyond the tutorial-style areas, and it’s full of fun little surprises!”
Adam Lewis Graf added:
“I’m really happy to be bringing this to Steam as well – I hope the new demo provides a more accessible way for people to sample what Gumball in Trick-or-Treat Land has to offer, and I hope that those who have tried the previous demo are delighted by the new content!”

Revealed earlier this year, the world of Media Vision and Bandai Namco’s Digimon Story Time Stranger brings a meaty JRPG adventure during this gold rush of stellar games.
See whether players should join the ranks of ADAMAS this fall with our review.
Digimon Story Time Stranger Review
Digimon Story Time Stranger begins with players picking an agent from the ADAMAS group.
Said group has made a name for itself by checking out paranormal activity and other anomalies that otherwise can’t be explained logically.
As one might suspect, these anomalies turn out to be Digimon entering the real world. Most aren’t the cute and cuddly types that want to be friends – we’re talking badniks looking to take over the world.
Leave it up to ADAMAS team, which is set out to stop the Digimon and close the rifts that they come from.
The more players fight in Digimon Story Time Stranger, the deeper the mystery goes.
One point has players coming across a stray Digimon, who then Digivolves into a half-human and half-Digimon. He seems to be part of the key to solving this problem and preventing any major damage from being done. From there, players will build up one’s Digimon team and set out to save the city.
While we enjoyed both Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth and Hacker’s Memory, Digimon Story Time Stranger easily surpasses them both.
For one, Digimon Story Time Stranger features a truly incredible combat system.
Battles in this JRPG are turn-based, and one can get some crazy combos going with the right line-up. Digimon Story Time Stranger’s sheer variety of moves and animations are truly excellent.
Since getting new Digimon is very easy, players are encouraged to experiment.
While in the field, players can use an attack to initiate combat and if the Digimon is really weak, one can outright kill it.
On that note, the more times players defeat the same one, the higher one’s Scan rate of the Digimon goes. Once it hits 100%, players can hatch an egg for that Digimon, but waiting until 200% will net players better stats.
Players can make the party of their dreams in Digimon Story Time Stranger – as long as one can find their favorite Digimon.
Even the Digivolve part of Digimon Story Time Stranger is pretty straightforward, with its menu telling what one needs stat-wise, level-wise, or anything else needed to Digivolve.
Digimon Story Time Stranger’s menus are quick and easy, allowing players to get right back into the action.
Players will also need to determine what personality traits to give their Digimon in Digimon Story Time Stranger.
As one fights, their Digimon will talk and ask questions. Depending on one’s answer, players can then alter their personalities to get new skills.
For instance, if one makes a Digimon valorous, one can then get skills that reduce how much SP your abilities take. There are multiple personalities, and with the proper skill pairing, one can make their prime Digimon even more overpowered.
Even one’s Agent in Digimon Story Time Stranger gets some upgrades!
With Digimon Story Time Stranger’s Agent skill tree, players can directly upgrade personality traits. For instance, if one is rocking a Valor team, they would then use the Agent Valor tree to get major buffs to damage, HP, and other stats.
While the title can be easy, Digimon Story Time Stranger has a ton of depth for those looking to explore.
When not battling and upgrading, Digimon Story Time Stranger lets players explore the city and take on side quests.
There are treasures to find, but the town is by and large where one busy new gear, healing items, and supplies – and of course new shirts to wear.
Side quests in Digimon Story Time Stranger typically involves one finding an anomaly Digimon and dealing with it.
Then there is Digimon Story Time Stranger’s In-Between Theater.
The In-Between Theater lets one train their idle Digimon, claim any DLC items, and check out extra dungeons for farming loot and cash.
For those who paid a visit to the Persona series’ Velvet Room, The In-Between Theater evokes similar vibes.
The best part of The In-Between Theater? If one leaves their Digimon at the farm, they can just keep having them train over and over until one’s return.
The game does occasionally lose some frames when running around, but there were no crashes or major bugs to speak of.
Do note that if one gets themselves the DLC Digimon, they are crazy strong! Unless you want a very easy time, keep their power in check.
Digimon Story Time Stranger is easily the best Digimon game to date. Fans of the series – or RPG fans in general – should at the very least check out the demo.
