2025 Summoners War World Arena Championship Opens Registration Now Open

The Summoners War fantasy franchise is set to return to the global esports stage with the ninth annual Summoners War World Arena Championship (SWC2025) – registration is now open!

As part of this competition, Summoners worldwide will set out to compete in regional “Road to Glory” tournaments in a number of different locations to claim a coveted spot at the World Finals in Paris, France.

On that note, participant registration is now live via the Summoners War: Sky Arena in-game event page through June 30 at Midnight PT!

Preliminary participants will be selected based on their individual performance during World Arena Seasons 32 and 33. 

Note the Europe and Americas regions will each field 16 preliminary players, while the Asia-Pacific region will be divided into four groups—Korea, Japan, Southeast Asia and Others in Asia—with eight different players from each preliminary group.

007 First Light Launching in 2026

Making its debut during the State of Play segment earlier today, IO Interactive has revealed a first look at their new title 007 First Light.

Featuring a unique, standalone original story, 007 First Light will have players stepping into the shoes of a young Bond.

As this promising yet rebellious Royal Navy air crewman that has been recruited into MI6, Bond’s sharp instincts and heroism in combat has helped to propel him into the agency’s rigorous training program.

Chaotic Co-Op Adventure Sol Mates Gameplay Trailer Released

Making its debut during Shacknews’ indie showcase earlier today, Daruma Games has released a new gameplay trailer for their chaotic co-op adventure Sol Mates.

In this multiplayer adventure, players will be able to steer, shield and blast through the galaxy as they take on space pirates, giant alien crabs, and sassy onboard AIs. 

Along the way, Sol Mates will have players growing their space agency as their take on kooky requests, make critical story decisions with one another, and soar among the stars.

The Steam version of Blue Archive has been designed to make things even more accessible. Note that Blue Archive players can also link existing mobile accounts, allowing players to keep progress going across platforms.

Atomfall Wicked Isle Story DLC Now Available

The world of Rebellion’s Atomfall is getting that much bigger with today’s release of the Wicked Isle story DLC.

The Wicked Isle for Atomfall brings with it a number of new gameplay features, including new enemies that test survival skills alongside new potential friends. 

Players will also be able to take advantage of new weapons like the fierce Blunderbuss and the mythical Corrupted Daggers. 

Additional abilities will also be available as part of the Wicked Isle DLC, infusing one’s character with radioactive magic can be the thin line between life and death.

Note that Wicked Isle for Atomfall is available for $19.99 on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. 

Note that it is included in both the Deluxe Edition and Deluxe Upgrade Pack.
