Former Larian UK Studio Head Arthur Mostovoy Joining Aonic as Head of Games

A multiplatform gaming group comprised of several studios globally, Aonic has recruited Arthur Mostovoy to fill its new Head of Games role.

Arthur Mostovoy’s most recent project at Larian Studios was Baldur’s Gate 3, which has won  multiple Game of the Year (we called it “the RPG of a generation” ourselves!). While at Larian Studios, he oversaw the studio’s growth over a nearly six-year tenure.

Aonic currently has multiple game projects in development across the group:

Casual Roguelike Minion Rumble Now Available on Mobile Devices

Developed by FUNFLOW, the fast-paced, charming world of Minion Rumble is now available on mobile devices.

As part of this title, players will be able to step into the role of a Summoner as they take on waves of enemies, all while summoning adorable Minions and powerful Champions.

Minion Rumble also gives players the chance to form their own unstoppable legion, utilizing a card-based skill system and ever-changing synergies each run. 

Minion Rumble also keeps things interesting with Solo Raids, Guild Raids, Dungeons, and more.

On that note, Minion Rumble players will be able to take advantage of the following in-game events:

  • Pudding Paradise – Running through April 17, Minion Rumble player complete quests to earn dice, roll the board, collect Pudding Plates, and exchange them for rewards like Epic Champion Selection Chests.
  • Puddiebean Fusion Festival – Running through April 24, Minion Rumble players earn and fuse Puddiebeans from quests to obtain rare items such as S-tier Gear Selection Chests.
  • Finally, all pre-registered Minion Rumble players can get themselves aspecial launch bonus including 10,000 Gold and the Epic-grade Champion Capyboo.

Note that Minion Rumble is available in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, the Philippines, Indonesia, and Malaysia.

PvPvE Extraction RPG Mistfall Hunter BETA 2 Coming April 21

The team at Bellring Games announced that the second playtest for their upcoming third-person action PvPvE extraction RPG Mistfall Hunter will begin April 21 at 6pm PT.

New features as part of Mistfall Hunter BETA 2 include the following:

  • New Seer Class – Wielding a lantern-like Catalyst relic, Seers are able to harness divine magic to heal, dispel ailments, and protect allies
  • Lake Iris: Lake Iris pays home the mysterious yet perilous bloom known as the Ember Iris. Long since devoid of human presence, the area now teems with dangerous creatures, ominous shadows, and deadly secrets.
  • The Forge – Originally a labor site of Brandrgarde’s enslaved workers, The Forge was where the legendary blacksmith Vronn originally forged his best work. The area is now claimed by the Corroded—craftsmen and slaves who continue their endless toil.
  • Solo Mode Unleashed – Mistfall Hunter players can now challenge the Mistfall Hunter alone.
  • Real-Time Voice Chat – Players can now communicate seamlessly with one’s team and utilize integrated voice chat.
  • Enhanced Combat & Class Updates – Mercenary, Blackarrow, Sorcerer, and Shadowstrix classes have been reworked with updated skills and refined controls.

The Duchess also brings with her the Restage ability, where she can turn the tables on foes by replaying recent actions.

DO THE GAME Game Dev Docu-Reality TV Series Announced

A brutally honest, intimate docu-reality TV series, 10 Chambers has unveiled one of gaming history’s most intense creative journeys with the teaser trailer for DO THE GAME.

A behind-the-scenes reality documentary, DO THE GAME is setting out to capture the triumphs, struggles, and relentless ambition that fuel modern game development.

Of course, this also includes the conflicts that consistently arise, potentially risking everything.

The heart of DO THE GAME consists of ten friends that set out to create Den of Wolves, a game on a mission to become the greatest heist game in history. 

Following the success of GTFO, this team has secured significant investment. However, this also brings with it intense pressure, impossible deadlines, and the constant battle to stay true to their vision.

Zen Factory Automation Game Modulus Public Demo Announced

A factory automation title where players can build every piece from scratch with building-block modules, award-winning Developer Happy Volcano and Publisher Astra Logical have released the first demo of Modulus.

Utilizing building-block modules, Modulus will let players cut, color, stamp, and assemble said modules to create an impressive factory with your one’s own creative twist.

Modulus is especially unique, in that there are no fixed recipes!

Rather, players will be able to produce each construct from the very modules they manufacture, in turn leading to  a highly personalized approach to factory-building. 

Modulus players will be able to witness structures rise and construct in real time, each block becoming a visible part of the design. It pays to be creative in Modulus as well; the more complex the buildings, the more advanced the modules must become!
